GLUTEN-FREE AT ANIMAL KINGDOM

After writing Gluten Free at Epcot and Gluten Free at Magic Kingdom, I decided that I would keep it going and share where I was able to eat at Animal Kingdom and soon to come, Hollywood Studios. We spent two of our six days at Animal Kingdom so we ate at more than a few spots and I can’t wait to share with you what I have found in my food research {aka, my favorite kind of research!}.

The store in Mombasa Marketplace has a whole gluten free section. You can get things like bags of cookies, chocolate protein balls, tortilla chips, seed and fruit mix, snack bars and cranberry mix. They have tons of options that you can buy and then take to eat in line while you have a long wait. In that same store I got a rice krispy treat that was pretty tasty!

Bachelor in Paradise: Popcorn Tray

Every time I watch an episode of BIP, I just sit there and can’t look away… its like when you’re at a movie theater watching a new movie and your hand just automatically goes into the popcorn and up to your mouth continuously without even having to think about what you are doing. It’s like an automated response to watching whatever you are watching. Well that’s how I feel about Bachelor in Paradise. I can’t look away and I feel like I need popcorn to complete the experience. Lol

This week I decided to just throw together a popcorn tray with tons of everyone’s favorites so that people can just pick and choose what they want from the board but you are able to give everyone something that they like with the options that you set out. Not everyone is a sour candy person and not everyone is a chocolate person (crazy people)… This board is the perfect combination of both!

Would you believe me if I said that every single thing on this tray including those cute [popcorn buckets were from the Dollar Tree?! Well you better believe it! I spent $8 and was able to put together the cutest tray to watch this weeks episodes. We usually get together on Tuesday and watch both Monday and Tuesday’s episodes in one night!

Harry Potter London Checklist

When my sister and I visited London last summer we checked off so many Harry Potter bucket list items from our lists. When we were looking for everything that we needed to visit, it didn’t seem like there was one collective list, we needed to find a couple to get the whole list of items! I have created a Harry Potter checklist for you to take on your next trip to London. I will also be creating a map of all of the locations so you can see exactly where you are going and make it very easy to navigate all of these new places for you!

With the time that we had there were some of the places that we didn’t have time to get to. But We did manage to get a lot seen in the time that we had which was so incredible! One of our favorite things was seeing platform 3/4 quarters in Kings Cross Station. There was a line to take a picture with the cart which we opted out of but still fun to see and we spent a ton of time in the shop that was right next to it. We were also surprised to see that it wasn’t on an actual platform it was just in the middle of the station. But in hindsight that makes sense due to traffic control!

St. Paul’s Cathedral and The Millennium Bridge were so fun to walk by and actually went to Millennium Bridge during the day and at night. They are right next to each other so its easy to lump these two together. But we spent a whole afternoon between the two!

These markets were absolutely amazing to walk through, we spend about 3 hours wandering Borough Market one morning and the people watching alone was amazing. Not to mention the music that was playing, the foods and all the delicious smells there were!

I mentioned this in my Gluten Free at Epcot blog post but when I found out I was headed to Disney World I knew that I had to do some mega research for gluten free foods at the parks. Eating food was definitely a challenge I was ready to take on! I feel like I totally ate my way through the parks and here is what I found at Magic Kingdom!

Pinocchio Village Haus is located in Fantasyland. I have also had the chicken nuggets from here and they are really good as well! They are different than the ones from Columbia Harbour House but still tasty!

We also ate at Be Our Guest, this is not quick service but I was able to have a French Dip Sandwich, French fries and a lemon curd puffs pastry all gluten free. It was delish and would absolutely recommend making reservations here for lunch during your visit! The service was excellent and the staff were so helpful with my allergy!

11 Amazon Finds for Back to School

Here I am back with another Amazon Finds post and this time it was honestly hard to choose the pieces I was going to share because seriously I couldn’t narrow it down. There are so many cute clothes on Amazon and with how easy it is to shop try on and return if needed it makes total sense! This post honestly began as “10 Amazon Finds…” but as you can tell, it changed to 11 pretty quickly and that was after making cuts.. maybe a part 2 in your future? We will see!

Bachelor in Paradise: Strawberry Milkshakes

So after watching the first two weeks of BIP, I am hooked. Even though half of the show is so disastrous, it was like I just couldn’t look away. Like I mentioned before, I want to do all desserts for this season of Bachelor in Paradise. Today I am making Strawberry milkshakes, these are easy to make in one big batch for a group of people and there is minimal mess! Plus its only 4 ingredients!

What you will need

• 2 cups of vanilla Ice cream

• 1 cup of milk

• 2 cups of strawberries

• Splash of vanilla

This is so so easy and this amount makes enough for three drinks, so if there are more people you just make multiple batches! Like I said, this was easy, yummy and there was no prep work. I literally just added all of the ingredients into the blender and turned it on. There are also so many other types you can make once you have the base down. Just sub strawberries for things like chocolate, candy bars, or other fruits if you want them!

Mayfield Lavender Field Day Trip From London

When I traveled to London with my sister last summer we had SO many things on our to-do list, we had so much to cram into five days but we did it! Now there are always things that you get home and find out you missed something but all the more reason to go back. We talked a lot about taking a day trip somewhere while we were in London but weren’t sure where to begin and we really wanted to be able to only be gone for the day. After a TON of research, we found this gorgeous lavender field that was only about an hour and 20 minute drive from where we stayed. We were pretty much sold! The photos were gorgeous and we didn’t really need more reason after that to go.

It was in Banstead, England. We left at 10:00 am and were there by 11:20. The Uber ride cost us about $40 there and $40 back. We justified the price because it was $80 for the both of us and originally we planned to leave London for the day all together and that would have cost more. To get in it cost 2.50 euros a person and totally worth it. This gave us access to the fields to take pictures and walk around all day long {which we took full advantage of}.

We ate lunch at their cafe and each got a grilled sandwich of sorts, very yummy and not too expensive. We spent in total probably 5 hours at the lavender fields and it was so much fun to just walk around and enjoy being outside. I will say that we went on a weekday and it was a bit crowded, although the crowd came and went in waves. It says on their website that on the weekends it can be very crowded and they can run out of parking. We were able to get all of the shots that we wanted without people in them. The further we walked to the back of the field, the less people there were around us.

They had a little store that sold so many goodies! Lavender cookies, teas, chocolates, lavender lemonade, so many things! Other things like jams and jellies and homemade items were for sale as well. We bought a bundle of lavender to use as a prop in pictures because you can’t pick the lavender in the field. I think this is great because it allows so many more people to enjoy it!

We were able to take so many pictures here and it was such a fun day. It was also great to be able to relax a little but and get out of the hustle and bustle of London. It was good too because we got home at about 6:30 and we were still able to go explore in the city at night and enjoy our time in London. All in all it was such a fun day and these pictures that we took will honestly last a lifetime and the memories we made there just goofing around! Oh and beware of the bees! Haha they weren’t everywhere in the fields, but there were areas where they would congregate that we avoided.

3 Disney Bound Looks from Amazon

Every time I look on Pinterest for Disney bound ideas, everything that I find is super unrealistic. Its either long sleeves, pants and tall boots, or a ballgown and heels.. I don’t know about you but that is not happening! When I go to Disney its hot, any time of the year, it is HOT. I want to look cute but comfortable(all the walking) and I also know that I will be sweating! Don’t get me wrong, I think they look super cute, its just not something I can do when spending 12+ hours walking and sweating.

I decided to put together 3 Disney Bound looks and better yet, you can get everything you need for these looks on Amazon. I should also mention that each look goes with one of the shoes that I recommend from this post here where I talk about the shoes that I can walk all day in at Disney World!

Look #1 - Dumbo

The first look that I found is Dumbo and oh my goodness, cute and easy! From the yellow headband to the yellow shoes, it reminds me of dumbo so so much. I love the two bags as well, the popcorn purse is a coin purse but would be cute added to your purse that you carry into the park or add it to the other Dumbo bag in the photo. Such a cute and comfortable look!

Look #2 - Rapunzel

Such a fun character and so many ways that this look can go. I added a couple of options for purses because they are both too cute, I couldn’t decide on just one. The bow is the perfect added touch, I would braid my hair and have the bow on the back of my head. I also love the sun earrings, they remind me of the suns she draws which couldn’t be more perfect to tie this look together.

Look #3 - Winnie the Pooh

I absolutely love this look, it’s comfortable, breathable and lets be honest, adorable! It would be perfect with your hair half up, half gown with the bow in the half up ponytail. The bee details remind me so much of Winnie the Pooh and the backpack truly ties the whole look together.

I hope you enjoyed these looks, I seriously had a blast putting them together. I know I have mentioned time and time again that I love browsing Amazon but it’s because there is always so much new to find. I can almost be a downward spiral of finding alllllll the things! I think that I will do a few more posts like this because browsing gave me so so so many other ideas for other characters!

Gluten Free at Epcot

Before I left for Epcot I was trying to find all the sources I could to know what I was able to eat at Epcot, but honestly I didn’t find too many answers. So when we were there next I wanted to make sure I could find as much info for myself and to share with you guys. Of course I always suggest that you check when you are there just to be sure nothing has changed. There are some countries that I didn’t get food at or ask for the allergy menu but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ask because they are very eager to help you. The countries I didn’t get to were Norway, Outpost, Morocco ( they did say that they had gluten free options available at Spice Road Table but I would need to talk to a chef, so just ask!), the United Kingdom and Canada.

Mexico

We had lunch at La Cantina de San Angel, my three options on the menu were Tacos de Barbacoa and Tacos de Pollo. I had the Tacos de Barbacoa and it was so so good and I didn’t get suck! To drink I had the Mexican Sangria which I would also recommend!

China

I didn’t eat here but I did ask what the gluten free options were at Nine Dragons Restaurant and they told me that I could have the Vegetarian Stir fry. Again, I didn’t have it but this is what I was told. I also had the cotton candy from The House of Good Fortune! It was pretty tasty!

Germany

I had a gluten free bratwurst from Sommerfest in Germany, the brat itself was delicious but the bun was a bit dry. But usually that’s how it goes when it comes to gluten free options for bread. I just added mustard and sauerkraut and it was alright!

Italy

This is another country that I didn’t eat anything in but I did ask to see their allergy menu at Via Napoli and wow, there were so many options! They had a couple of appetizers and salads as well as pasta dishes like Penne Caprese and Fusilli Napoletana. I added the photo that I took so that you can see the menu for yourself!

America

At the Liberty Inn I ate a cheeseburger with French fries and it was a pretty basic meal but still good! They also had gluten free hot dogs and chicken nuggets. The bun on my burger though was a good gf bun so that is a start! It wasn’t one of the super dry ones that you can find at other restaurants.

France

I had a macaroon from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie that was delish and such a fun treat. I talked to one of the chefs and there were two macaroon options that they offered that were gluten free and I got the raspberry macaroon.

Japan

We ate dinner at Teppen Edo and they were so knowledgeable of my allergy and aware of what to do. We ate at the hibachi grill and they made all of my food first and then cooked other food for the rest of the table. I also had my own gluten free soy sauce. 10/10 would recommend eating here!

Bachelor in Paradise: Dessert Board

Going into the third week of Bachelor in Paradise, I wanted to make something that wasn’t too complicated and something that I was able to just throw together and bring to the get together. I decided to put together a dessert spread that is much like a charcuterie board but full of one of my favorite foods, chocolate! Now I couldn’t just add 12 different kinds of candy to the board so I broke it up with a few kinds of fruit as well, very tasty! I mean lets be honest, I totally could have used 12 kinds of candy buuutttt I opted not to haha

What you will need

• Raspberries

• Pineapple

• Cherries

• Almond butter granola bites

• GF brownie mix

• White chocolate chips

• Milk chocolate chips

• Skinny dipped almonds

• GF chocolate covered pretzels

• Cashews

• Chocolate covered pomegranate seeds

• Lindor Hazelnut chocolate

Much like a charcuterie board, you are able to make it exactly the way that you want to and there is absolutely no wrong way to put this together. In the end I added a couple of extra things like strawberries just to fill the rest of the board and that is totally okay because there are no rules. I’ve mentioned this before but its my favorite part! I absolutely love putting these posts together because it lets me be creative and then also share with friends what I have created!
